The next generation of Windows phones running Windows Mobile 6.5 will be available starting October 6. Manufacturers - including Hewlett Packard, HTC, LG Electronics, Samsung and Toshiba - have partnered with Microsoft to release new devices optimized for the latest version of Windows Mobile. Included in this update is Windows Marketplace for Mobile, which will allow developers to create unique applications that run on the Windows Mobile platform, and sell them to millions of consumers around the world.
